Clam Jam

Clam Jam RC BoltClam Jam By R. C. Bolt
I have to say this book was hands down a really great read. It had a mixture of everything that a reader would be looking for in a good comedy, romance book. It was the perfect proportion of sugar to cream to make the most deliciously brewed coffee. (If you didn’t know by now I’m a coffee lover and this book was consumed in one gulp).

The heroine was looking for a roommate and her only rule to herself was that her roommate had to be a girl. She was burnt by men one too many times and she didn’t need the hassle of having a guy as her roomate.

The hero was looking for a place to rent and came across the heroine’s place. Upon meeting her, it was love at first sight for him and was disappointed when he found out she didn’t want a male roommate or anything pertaining to men. So naturally, like all crazy men in love(not), he lied to her saying that he was gay. There problem solved!

And that’s how, ladies and gentlemen the book got it’s name.

Okay, so I have to be honest I didn’t know what the term “Clam Jam” meant so I had to do some research on my end before reading. It’s basically, for those who don’t know, a female version of “cock block”. Example, say you’re a female and you’re out at a club and you meet a guy. Everything is going great and you think you’ll get lucky until this other guy comes along and steal him from you, leaving the entire night a waste.

And that’s exactly what the hero do to the heroine throughout the book. Of course the heroine thinks the hero actually takes these guys home but in reality he doesn’t, because he’s not gay.

If you want to know what happens when the heroine finds out that her gay roommate is actually straight and have the hots for her then I would recommend you to read it.
